Diwali, or Deepavali, is the Hindu festival of lights, which is celebrated every autumn in the northern hemisphere. One of the most popular festivals of Hinduism, Diwali symbolises the spiritual “victory of light over darkness, good over evil and knowledge over ignorance”.
Observances: Diya and lighting, home decoration, shopping, fireworks, puja (prayers), gifts, feast and sweets

Day 3 (6th Nov): Narak Chatudarshi, or Choti Diwali, Roop Chaturdashi, Kali Choudas
Day 4 (7th Nov): Laxmi Pujan, Chopda Pujan
Day 5 (8th Nov): Balipratipada or Diwali cha padva
Day 6 (9th Nov): Bhaubeej / Bhav-Bij
